About Hilary Burrows
Born in London in 1952, Hilary Burrows arrived in Australia in 1974. She studied in Sydney and on study tours to the USA and Europe. A semi-figurative painter of city landscapes and a teacher, she began exhibiting her work in Sydney in 1981. She was a finalist in the Art Gallery of New South Wales Wynne Prize in 1983 and 1986.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1991.
