About Violet Ada Bartlett
A friend of anthropologist and sketcher Olive Pink, she was part of the vibrant Sydney art scene in the years between the wars. An accomplished artist, her specialty was watercolours of native Australian birds. Violet Bartlett exhibited with the Royal Art Society of NSW in 1901 and was active in Sydney's eastern suburbs in the 1920's. She is also recorded through her greeting cards to friends.
