Amy Vale, born in Newcastle, New South Wales in 1874, She was a professional painter, china painter, jeweler, craftsperson and art teacher. .Amy Vale worked in Sydney and London; and first exhibited at the Royal Art Society, Sydney, in 1899; and with the Society of Women Painters until the 1920s. At 1891 Juvenile Exhibition, Amy Vale was awarded First Prize for Drawing and in 1907 she exhibited watercolour (landscapes and genre painting) pictures at the Australian Exhibition of Women's Work where she was awarded 1stPrize for Watercolor Landscape and Special Prize.
