Frank Trevor Halliday was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1934. He studied Architecture in Cape Town and Sydney, and Painting, Drawing, Etching and Woodcarving at City and Guilds of London Art School. In Sydney he worked in architecture and town-planning and as an etcher, sculptor and watercolourist. Many of his etchings and watercolours are of buildings, lighthouses and boats. He made various large bronze sculptures on commission.
