Born in Melbourne in 1931, Talbot studied at the National Gallery School and in Europe. Best known as a painter and illustrator, she first exhibited her line drawings in Australia in 1957. They later created interest in London where her talents were used by fashion magazines. She had great success with her delicate, decorative Art-Nouveau style drawings, first exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne 1957 and widely reproduced in magazines after she moved to London in 1958. As well as Australia, where she had ber first exhibition in 1957, she has exhibited in London, Oslo, Rome and Paris.
