Rona Green was born in 1972 and grew up in Geelong. She studied art at La Trobe University in Bendigo from 1992 to 1995 and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art); a Graduate Diploma in Art from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne in 1998 and a Master of Fine Art degree from Monash University, Gippsland 2012. Well known for striking pictures of peculiar characters she has held over 34 solo exhibitions throughout Australia from 1997 to 2019. From 1994 to 2021 she has participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout Australia. Awards include the Geelong Print Prize, the Swan Hill Print Acquisitive Award and the Silk Cut Award for Linocut Prints Grand Prize and the Geelong Acquisitive Print Award in both 2009 and 2011. Rona Green lives and works in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
