About Sue Nagel
Born in Victoria in 1942, Sue Nagel has had no formal art training. The books of Ion Idriess inspired her interest in the Australian outback and her naive style oil paintings often feature outback scenes. She first exhibited in London in 1984 and has since exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne and the USA.
The earliest auction listing we have for Sue Nagel is in 1971 and in total 88 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 71 (81%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $1,218 for White Flowers on Turquoise 1993 sold by Leonard Joel in October 2018.
