About John Sharman
Born in New South Wales in 1939, John Sharman is a traditional style landscape and seascape painter working in oil who studied with private tutors and has been working as a full time artist since 1980. He has held over 45 exhibitions in Sydney, Canberra and New South Wales provincial centres from 1983, and has been awarded many prizes at provincial art shows. He lives and works on the south coast of New South Wales.
We have records of art auction sales by John Sharman from 1989 and in total 76 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 60 (79%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $1,200 for Autumn at Berrara sold by Mason Gray in March 1989. This year one work has been offered for sale.
