Born in Mount Barker, South Australia in 1949, Robert Morris studied in Brisbane, London and Europe. A painter working in various media and sculptor working with wood and steel, he held his first solo shown in Brisbane in 1970, and has since exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne as well as overseas in Sydney, London and Tokyo.

We have records of art auction sales by Robert Morris from 1989 and in total 25 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 19 (76%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,750 for Between Barcaldine and Longreach (3) sold by Christies in March 1996. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
