Born in Christchurch in 1891, Rose Zeller studied at the Canterbury School of Art. She began teaching there in 1912 until taking up a teaching appointment at Dunedin Technical College. In the early 1930s Zeller returned to Christchurch where she continued teaching and exhibiting her work until her retirement in the mid-1950s.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1998.
