Born in Queensland in 1918, John Maudson studied under J. S. Watkins. A traditional style painter and illustrator, he has held solo exhibitions of his work in Sydney and Melbourne since 1984. Maudson's work is represented in the United Nations Office in Geneva, and in institutional collections around the world.
