Born Joseph Ambrose Mraz in Czechoslovakia in 1953, Frost anglicised his name after his arrival in Australia in 1973. He has also painted under his pseudonym name Julian Morgan. Principally a self-taught marine and landscape artist, Frost has been active in the Sydney, southern and coastal New South Wales and Perth areas. He is an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales and has held solo shows in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.
