Born in Sydney in 1912, Ralph Walker studied at Brisbane Technical College, the Royal Art Society, Sydney, East Sydney Technical College and the Julian Ashton School. Best known as a painter and sculptor he made 17 of the panels for the doors of the Mitchell Library, Sydney and produced dioramas for the Australian War Memorial, Canberra. A restrospective exhibition of his drawings and sculpture was held in 1978.
