Born in Brisbane, Peg Garran-Brown studied in Sydney for six years under Datillo Rubbo. A traditional oil painter of landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and portraits, she has exhibited with the Royal Art Society and in 9 other joint shows between 1980 and 1994. Peg Garran-Brown received over 100 Art Awards for painting in oils in NSW, including:the Portia Geach Portrait Prize in 1983, 1st Prize, Royal Easter Show, Sydney in 1991 and awards in five other years at Royal Easter Show, Sydney.
