Born in England in 1821 Edmund Henderson was educated at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. After a period in Canada and Western Australia he was appointed comptroller of Convicts in Western Australia. An amatuer topographical artist his works are extremely rare. He returned to England in 1886 where he died in 1896.
