Born in Sydney in 1927, Peter Taylor studied in Sydney and Hobart, and went on study tours to the USA. A sculptor and teacher, he taught in Hobart, and has had commissions from a number of institutions including one from the Parliament House Construction Authority to sculpt the Coat-of-Arms for the Senate Chamber. Taylor has exhibited his work in most Australian capital cities.
