Victorian artist, Tom Carter was active c1908-50. Working in a variety of media including oil, charcoal, watercolour and pen and ink, he paints a variety of subsjects including figurative works, floral still life and landscapes. He was a teacher at Prahran Technical School and exhibited in Melbourne with the Victorian Artit's Society between 1903 and 1949 showing around 60 paintings during this period.
We have records of art auction sales by Tom Carter from 1973 and in total 31 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 27 (87%) were sold. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2020.
