Thomas Hoareau is a Western Australian contemporary artist whose paintings of everyday culture seek for meaning from ordinary experiences. Born In McLaren Vale, South Australia in 1961 he studied for a Master of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts at the University of Western Australia. He has exhibited regularly in Perth since 1981 and is represented in the National Gallery, the State Gallery, and various public and private collections. He continues to live and work from his studio in the Perth suburb of Viveash.
