Ashley Manley was born in Melbourne in 1949. A semi-abstract watercolourist, he graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from Adelaide College of the Arts and Education in Underdale, South Australia but is largely self-taught. He travelled overseas to the UK Europe and the United States in 1976 and 1977. His first solo show was at the Royal South Australian Society of Arts in 1975 and since then he has exhibited in Adelaide Perth and Queensland. He currently lives and works in the Hervey Bay Area on the Fraser Coast of Queensland.
