Born in New South Wales in 1956, Helen Wright studied art extensively in Sydney and Hobart. A printmaker and painter, she has exhibited from 1985. Wright has received several art awards, and teaches part time at tertiary level. Her work is represented in the National Gallery of Australia and the state galleries of Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $6,000 for Faded Arcadia sold by Colville Auctions Pty. Ltd. in March 2023. This year one work has been offered for sale.
