Born in Melbourne in 1961, Pasquale Giardino studied at the Victorian College of the Arts. He was a founding member of the aptly-named "Roar" group of young artists formed in the early 1980s in the melbourne suburb of Fitzroy. He held solo exhibitions in Melbourne in 1988 and 1991, and between 1982 and 1989 his work appeared in six group exhibitions in east coast Australian cities and provincial centres.
