Born in Sydney in 1954, Tom Carment studied at the Julian Ashton School. A contemporary painter, sculptor and printmaker, he has travelled extensively, painting in France, the UK, Zimbabwe and Zambia, where he produced a series of genre paintings and short stories. He has held solo exhibitions in Sydney since 1976 and in Paris.
