About Elizabeth Ann Outram
Elizabeth Outram was born in the U.K. She migrated to New South Wales and is recorded as exhibiting a landscape in the Hunter River Agriculture and Horticulture Show in 1891. By 1896 she was a member of the W.A Society of Arts. She also taught art at Hale Boys School and for a Miss Bests Art School. Outram's and Mary Creeth's art was used to illustrate the Western Mail in 1898. Various exhibitions in the late 19th century and the early 20th century list her as exhibiting works. She moved to New Zealand sometime after 1925.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 2021.
