Born north west of Alice Springs in 1934, Australian Aboriginal artist Clifford Possom is an elder of the Anmatyerre Tribe of Central Australia. He spent most of his early life working as a stockman and did not take up painting until later in life. He joined the Papunya school of artists and has exhibited Australia wide. Clifford Possum's work is represented in some state galleries and institutional collections here and overseas.
