Born in Victoria in 1949, June Tupicoff studied privately with artists such as Leonard French, Mervyn Moriarty and Sydney Ball. As a teacher she has tutored at both the Queensland University of Technology and Brisbane Art School. She has been a finalist in multiple art prizes including the Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and has completed two residencies at Hill End, NSW in 2001 and 2002. She has exhibited in Sydney and Brisbane since 1973, her first solo show being in 1985. She exhibited in Melbourne in 2019.
