Born in Sydney in 1947, Tim Johnson is a painter, sculptor, teacher and film maker. After studying philosophy and political science at the University of New South Wales, he spent some time studying in India and South East Asia. He is best known for his films on conceptual art and experiments with video and performance art. He had a major survey exhibition in the Art Gallery of NSW, 2009.
