Born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1913, Elaine Wreford arrived in South Australia in 1923 as a 10 year old. She studied at the South Australian School of Arts in the early 1930s. Since 1964 she has exhibited her semi-abstract paintings in Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne, as well as Nairobi.
