Born in 1918 of Norwegian and Spanish parents, Leon William Hanson studied privately. He has painted full time since World War II, holding exhibitions in all state capitals. One of his drawings is in the Art Gallery of New South Wales. R. Parsons is a pseudonym used by Leon Hansen, and works under this signature are listed separately.
