Born in Sydney in 1910, Wilfred McCulloch studied at the National Gallery School, Melbourne and at the Workingmans College. He was a commercial artist who painted weekends, often in the company of Arthur Boyd. Wilfred McCulloch died in Singapore in 1942 whilst working as a stretcher bearer during the war.
