A New Zealand artist born in Samoa in 1946, he moved to New Zealand in 1966. He has been an exhibiting artist since the early 1980s and became a full-time artist in 1988 exhibiting extensively in New Zealand and internationally. Fatu Feu'u is primarily a painter but employs other media including bronze, wood and stone sculpture, pottery and lithographs. He uses elements of Samoan art painted in a distinctive style to produce contemporary paintings.
Fatu Feu'u is one of the most prolific of the artists listed in our database, with the number of works offered for sale by auction since 1994 of 406, of which 283 (70%) were sold.
