About Gunta Parups
Born in Latvia in 1931, Guntar Parups began studying art in Germany before travelling to Australia as a displaced person, and completing her studies at Perth Technical College. She exhibited her contemporary oil paintings at Latvian House in Sydney in 1966, and subsequently exhibited in Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.
The earliest auction listing we have for Gunta Parups is in 1975 and in total 30 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 22 (73%) were sold.
