Born in 1940 at Bundy River Station, N. T. Australian Aboriginal artist Barbara Weir is an important member of the Utopia group. The daughter of Minnie Pwerle and a cousin of Kathleen Petyarre she was influenced by Emlie Kngwarreye. She has held several solo shows and has contributed to many group exhibitions.
