Born in Melbourne in about 1890, Molly O'Shea studied at the National Gallery School, and later at the George Bell School. She was a painter, printmaker and commercial artist, and made intaglio images of cityscapes and landscapes of both the Melbourne and Sydney areas. Her oils and watercolours were mostly floral still lifes and landscapes. Molly O'Shea died in Sydney. Her etchings are represented in the National Gallery of Australia and in the Mitchell Library (catalogued under her married name, Mountain).
