Born in Sydney in 1912, Mollie Flaxman studied at the East Sydney Technical College and the Royal Art Society. A well known watercolourist, she was a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW. She exhibited in solo shows from 1954 in Brisbane, Sydney Melbourne and Canberra. As a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute her works were included in exhibitions in New York in 1976, New Zealand in 1975 and 1977-78 Cheltenham UK. Mollie Flaxman won awards in provincial and regional art shows.
