Born in Ballarat in 1947, Ronald Quick was awarded a Diploma in Art & Design from the Ballarat School of Mines after studying there from 1965 to 1968 and gained his Master of Arts in Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic, UK in 1976. A painter, printmaker and teacher, he has mainly exhibited in Melbourne and Western Victorian regional towns. He was awarded the Henry Worland Print Prize administered by the Warnambool Art Gallery in in 1974, 1978 and 1980.
