About Emily Meston
Born in Victoria in 1864, Emily Meston studied at the National Gallery School in Melbourne and moved to Sydney where she became known for her oil portraits, still lifes and, to a lesser extent, her landscapes. She exhibited with the Society of Artists and was the first treasurer of the NSW Society of Women artists.
