Born in January 1932 Kevin Best is a self-taught artist who started work in the hurly burly of the stock market, turning in later years to the challenge of the brush and palette. Artistically his roots are close to that of Hans Heysen, Tom Roberts and Elioth Gruner. From these influences Kevin developed a unique style of light-filled depictions of Australian bush country and towering gum trees.
