About Hatton Beck
Born in New South Wales in 1901, Beck studied at the Melbourne Technical College and became senior instructor in pottery at the Central Technical College, Brisbane, for 14 years. He married William Merric Boyd's daughter Lucy, and together they carried on the Boyd family pottery.
