Pegg Clarke was a photographer, and also did pen drawings. Active between the two world wars, her subjects included Melbourne's rich and socially prominent people, as well as urban and rural scenes. She exhibited from 1919 to 1936, solo and with Clarice Beckett. She also exhibited with the Sydney Society of Women Painters, as well as running a studio in Melbourne. She died in 1956.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $1,440 for Monuments - Archibald - Hyde Park Sydney 1926-1927 sold by Leonard Joel in July 2012.
