About Jane Price
Born in Melbourne in 1860, Jane Price studied at the London Royal Academy School. A contemporary of Tom Roberts and other Heidelberg School artists, she painted at Grosvenor Chambers in Collins Street, Melbourne. Price exhibited with the Victorian Artists Society from 1882 to 1906. She later moved to Sydney where she became a foundation council member of the Society of Women Painters.
