About Matilda Lister
Born in 1889, Matilda Lister was known for her naive paintings. Many of them were inspired by early pioneering history featuring mining subjects, bushrangers and horsemen in the Hill End area of New South Wales where she lived.
We have records of art auction sales by Matilda Lister from 1972 and in total 13 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 5 (38%) were sold.
