About Bela Ivanyi
Born in Hungary in 1936, Bela Ivanyi arrived in Australia in 1957 and settled in Sydney where he studied at the National Art school and was awarded a Diploma of Fine Arts (Painting). Primarily a landscape artist working in oil, acrylic, and watercolour, he had over 30 solo exhibitions from 1969 in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra and has won several awards including the 'Readers' Digest' Annual Drawing Exhibition in 1968. Bela Ivanyi passed away on 22 July 2022.
