Born in England in 1825, Thomas Woolner was a British sculptor who spent two years in Australia in the 1850's. He was a member of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. In Australia he exhibited at the Victorian Fine Arts Society in 1853 and was known for his portrait medallions.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $134,500 for A Series of Six Bronze Medallions (6) sold by Sotheby's in August 1999. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2014.
