Ferdinand G (Ferry) Korwill was born in Austria on 30 September 1905. He arrived in Perth, Western Australia in 1938. As well as being an engineer, he was also a printmaker and painter in oil, acrylic and watercolour, and was at one time president of the Art Gallery Society of Western Australia. Korwill held one man shows in Perth from 1955.
