Born about 1929 is the Northern Territory, Australian Aboriginal artist Paddy Nelson Tjupurrula was one of the founders of Yuendumu's Walukurlangu Arts Centre. He started painting in 1983 and between 1985 and 1999 he participated in over 90 group shows.
The total number of works by Paddy Nelson Tjupurrula offered for sale by auction since 1994 is 40, of which 29 (73%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $57,956 for Yarla Jukurrpa (Bush Potato Dreaming) sold by Sotheby's in December 2019. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022. Works by Paddy Nelson Tjupurrula are held by the National Gallery of Victoria, Queensland Art Gallery and National Gallery of Australia.
