Born in Sydney in 1940, Ken Done is an artist and fabric designer. He studied at the East Sydney Technical College and then became a highly successful art director and designer, in the advertising industry working in New York, London and Sydney. In 1980 he became a full time painter. Well known for his vibrant, decorative Australiana works that have been printed on numerous tourist promotion and souvenir items, he is director of a Sydney gallery and has exhibited in over 100 solo exhibitions. Ken Done received the Order of Australia (A.M.), for services to Art, Design and Tourism in 1992.
