Born in England in 1790, John Richardson Glover, Junior was the eldest son of John Glover. He is recorded as exhibiting at the Royal Academy from 1808 to 1829, prior to his arrival in Tasmania in 1831 with his father. In Tasmania he produced landscapes in ink, watercolour, and wash.

We have records of art auction sales by John Glover, Junior from 1989 and in total 15 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 12 (80%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $50,400 for (Annotated Panoramic Plan of 'Patterdale' Farm, Mills' Plains, Morven District, Van Diemen's Land) sold by Sotheby's in August 2009.
