New Zealand artist, Martin Ball was born in 1952. He studied at the Elam School, later becoming a lecturer in drawing and painting at Manakau Institute of Technology. He is known as a modern painter who makes use of photorealism.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $10,859 for Carey's Bay 2000 V sold by Art+Object in May 2018.
