About Lindsay Edwards
Born in 1919 Lindsay Edward studied at National Gallery of Victoria Art School from 1938-41and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology where he became a teacher from 1947-1954, then head of painting and finally head of school until 1979. A semi-abstract painter, he in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. He also completed a of mosaic murals in public buildings in Melbourne and Brisbane. Lindsay Edward showed his work in about 20 solo exhibitions between 1944 and 1993.
