Born in Sydney in 1949, Vicki Varvaressos studied at the National Art School in Sydney and East Sydney Technical College. A figurative expressionist painter in acrylic, she has exhibited since 1975 in solo and group exhibitions in most capital cities. She had a retrospective exhibition of her work at Maitland Regional Art Gallery titled ‘Vicki Varvarassos: The Story so Far’.
The total number of works by Vicki Varvaressos offered for sale by auction since 1990 is 115, of which 65 (57%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $17,625 for Untitled Anthony sold by Christies in June 2002. This year one work has been offered for sale.
